All These Roadworks

No response to my support ticket in 24 hours.  No updates to the BDSMLR Twitter feed for a full week.  Functionality appears to be getting worse and it looks like there are problems with the image server again.

It is with great regret that I say that users should prepare for the possibility of BDSMLR shutting down completely.  If you have unique content on this site, do your best to retrieve and back up as much of it as possible (noting that the current site issues may make this hard).  All mine is secure already - I learned from Tumblr.

Site collapse is certainly not the only possible outcome.  It's possible the developers will get things back on track, which would involve either or both of a successful crunch on the code issues, or an injection of money into the hardware/hosting issues.  It's also possible the current owners may be able to sell the site to someone who is interested in fixing it - despite everything, BDSMLR still has a high volume of traffic and that presumably means it has commercial value.

But under current circumstances it would be foolish to bank on those possibilities.

* newTumbl (newtumbl.com) - Offers a Tumblr-like interface and features for both text and images, and allows explicit content (albeit that you have to manually set your account to show that content).  You can find me there at alltheseroadworks.newtumbl.com

* Read Only Mind (https://readonlymind.com/) - Text erotica only, with a bias towards hypno/mind control, but theoretically other genres are allowed.  Under active development by people from within the hypno/MC lit community.  I'm hosting a few of my hypno/MC stories there.
